Command and House Papers
On behalf of the wider public we are actively engaged in making official publications ‘accessible, discoverable and retrievable’. It’s why instead of just adapting standard practice, we’ve looked at precisely how best we can support public bodies and their official publishing requirements. Our dedicated teams have developed our systems from the ground up.
Our approach to official publishing is formed by government guidelines and practice and delivers all the mandatory elements consisting of:
- design and artwork
- publishing services
- bibliographic information
- print and digital production
- dissemination services
- storage and distribution
But we’re not only there to do this, we can help you in looking at new ways to publish your official documents – whether that’s improving accessibility or supporting the move to digital. For many public sector audiences and target groups, digital channels are now the preferred or dominant way to consume information. At APS we’ve grown our digital resource as the technology has developed – so we’re now equally capable online as off, whether via mobile or desktop. We have developed an ePublishing strategy for the public sector moving towards paperless publications delivered as eBooks, apps and content-managed websites/microsites.
